5th grade students at Unity East and West Elementary created food self-portraits using oil pastels inspired by the digital artist Lexicon Love.
Intro to Drawing Unit: Students in remote Drawing Studio at Central High School created a series of experiments and drawings using a range of materials, studied historical and contemporary artists, and completed a final drawing of their choice in this unit.
4th grade students at Unity East and West Elementary created colored pencil and crayon street art based on the street artist Dzia's frenetic animal murals.
High school students created a series of paintings through an Intuitive painting process, exploring and experimenting with a range of mediums at the Heart of Illinois Conference, 2020.
3rd grade students at Unity East and West Elementary created colorful paper mosaics of everyday objects inspired by Jim Bachor's pothole mosaics
Students in remote Art Foundations Central High School created a series of experiments using Photopea and photography, studied historical and contemporary artists, and completed a final artwork of their choice in this unit.
